1. Background

With the rapid development of the logistics industry, efficient and accurate automatic parcel sorting has become critical to improving warehouse efficiency. This solution aims to build a fully automatic, high‑fault‑tolerance parcel identification and label printing system using high‑performance automatic scanning equipment and supplementary code‑scanning tools, solving the pain points of low efficiency and missed scans in manual sorting.

2.4 W48 Wireless Handheld Barcode Scanner (For Flexible Supplementary Scanning)

3. System Workflow

  1. Task Issuance: WMS/ERP system sends sorting tasks to the central control system.
  2. Automatic Identification: Parcels pass through the sorting gate, and the overhead ED3009 automatically identifies QR codes and transmits data to the system.
  3. Abnormality Judgment: If ED3009 fails to identify the parcel, the system triggers an alarm for supplementary scanning.
  4. Manual Supplementary Scanning: The operator uses desktop D46 or wireless handheld W48 to manually re‑scan, ensuring 100% collection rate.
  5. Label Printing: After successful identification, ED1080 automatically prints the corresponding sorting/packaging label to complete the labeling process.
  6. Data Closed‑Loop: Sorting completion data is transmitted back to the backend system in real time, and the task is closed.
