This policy explains what personal data www.edoo-iot.com collects when you visit it or send us an inquiry, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We are the data controller for the data described here.

1. Data we collect

1.1 Information you give us

When you use the inquiry / quote form, the contact page, or a chat widget on this site, you choose to send us:

your name, company, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country, and the text of your message (which may mention target markets, quantities, or customisation requirements). Product files you attach (label artwork, firmware requirements) are stored with the inquiry.

We use this data only to answer your inquiry, prepare a quotation, and manage the resulting business relationship. Your inquiry is stored in this website's own database and is delivered to our sales team by email through our own mail server. We do not sell it, and we do not send its content to any third-party advertising or analytics service.

1.2 Information collected automatically

For each visit we record: the pages requested, the referring URL, the date and time, a coarse device description (browser and operating system from the user-agent string), and your IP address. The IP address is used to determine the country and city of the visit so that we can see which markets our traffic comes from, and to count unique visitors. We do not try to identify individual visitors from this data.

1.3 Information collected by Google

We run conversion tracking on our advertising landing pages through Google Tag Manager and Google Ads. When you arrive from a Google ad and interact with the site, Google sets and reads its own cookies and may record the page URL, page title, referring page, screen size, browser/platform information, and a Google advertising identifier. This lets us measure whether an ad produced an inquiry. Google processes this data as an independent controller under its own terms; see Google's Privacy & Policy page (https://policies.google.com/privacy) for the details and for Google's own opt-out controls (https://adssettings.google.com).

1.4 Sources of data

Almost all of the data above comes directly from you or from your browser. We do not buy visitor lists and do not merge site data with third-party marketing databases.

2. Cookies and local storage

We have no advertising or remarketing pixels of our own; the only third-party scripts on the site are Google Tag Manager (loading Google Ads tags) and our own first-party analytics beacon.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking PHPSESSID will stop the inquiry form from working; blocking Google's cookies does not affect browsing or the form.

3. Legal basis and purposes

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

• Consent — for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies, which you can withdraw by clearing them;
• Contract / steps requested before a contract — for inquiry and quotation data you volunteer to us;
• Legitimate interests — for the automatic visit logging in §1.2, which is limited to measuring traffic by market and detecting abuse, and is not used to profile individuals.

For visitors in other jurisdictions we process the same data for the same purposes.

4. Who sees the data

Only our own staff (sales, engineering, and the person who administers this website), our hosting and bandwidth provider Alibaba Cloud (the server is in Singapore), and our email provider for delivery of inquiry notifications. We do not authorise any other recipient. Service providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes.

5. International transfers

The site is hosted in Singapore and our company is in mainland China. If you are in the EEA or UK, data sent through the inquiry form therefore leaves your region. We treat it as confidential business correspondence and use it only for the purposes in §1.1. We do not rely on standard contractual clauses with a separate processor for the third-party geolocation lookup described in §1.2; see §9 for how to ask us to stop that lookup for you.

6. Retention

• Inquiries and their follow-up correspondence: kept while the business relationship is live, and for up to 3 years after the last contact, so we can answer repeat questions and honour quotations.
• Automatic visit logs (§1.2): aggregated and purged on a rolling 90-day window.
• Cookies: as listed in §2.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS with TLS and HSTS enabled. Database access is restricted to the web server account and to named administrative logins. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we keep collection minimal, and we do not ask for payment card numbers or other sensitive data through this site.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may ask us to: give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or stop processing it; object to processing that relies on legitimate interests or to direct marketing; or receive your data in a portable format. Cookie consent can be withdrawn at any time by clearing cookies.

To exercise any of these, email chenzg@edoo-iot.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We answer within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority; we would prefer the chance to fix it for you first.

9. Choices

• Stop the geolocation lookup of your IP: email us with the subject "Privacy request — no IP lookup", or use the contact page without leaving your IP visible to third parties by sending from a VPN. We can also exclude a specific IP range permanently on request.
• Opt out of Google advertising cookies: https://adssettings.google.com and https://www.aboutads.info/choices.
• Do-not-sell / do-not-share (US states): we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising, so no sale occurs; you may still ask us to delete what we hold.

10. Children

This site markets industrial equipment to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us data, email us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we will update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, note it on the contact page. The previous version stays available on request.
