Senegal Clients Visit EDOO for Custom PDA, POS and Printer Projects

Time:2026-06-28 Views:0

On June 26, 2026, a delegation of clients from Senegal came to the EDOO office in Bao'an, Shenzhen for an on-site meeting about customized development and longer-term cooperation on rugged PDA terminals, POS cash registers and receipt and label printers. The visit closed with an agreement between the two sides to move the project forward.

In short

What the meeting covered

The agenda was customization, not catalogue ordering. EDOO describes its own lineup as including "industrial PDAs, tablets, printers, scanning platforms, along with supporting technical services", and the three families the delegation came to discuss each carry variants that differ in scanning engine, print width and media, battery capacity, protection rating and pre-installed software.

A distributor or integrator serving one market rarely finds that a shelf configuration matches what its customers actually do with the device. That is the gap an on-site visit settles: the buyer looks at the hardware and puts questions to the people who design it, and both sides agree what EDOO would build rather than what EDOO would ship from stock.

The three lines under discussion are handheld terminals for warehouse and field data capture, cash register hardware for retail counters, and thermal printers for receipts and labels. Each has its own category page on this site, linked above.

How a custom project runs at EDOO

The cooperation agreed on June 26 enters a defined process, published on our ODM and OEM services page. Before any hardware is produced, three stages run in this order:

  1. Conduct an interview. "Interviews will be conducted with the client, collecting all information as specifically as possible on what they want to achieve."
  2. Quotation, contract and placing orders. "Based on the specifications and implementation plan discussed during the interview, an approximate timeline, quotation, trade conditions, etc. will be proposed."
  3. Development, prototype and evaluation. "After receiving the order, we start designing and developing, and finally evaluate whether it meets the customer's requirements through prototypes. Trial runs will be repeated to confirm that the required specifications can be achieved."

The commitment behind those stages is stated on the same page: "We offer tailored OEM and ODM services. For ODM projects, we provide one-stop solutions from original concept design all the way to final product delivery." In our experience the first stage is the one that cannot be compressed. A specification written from an email thread usually comes back for a second round; a specification written after the buyer has held the machine usually does not.

Where this fits in the EDOO export map

Senegal is a French-speaking market in West Africa. Nothing here should be read as a claim about market size or about volumes under discussion; what can be stated is where the visit sits in the company's existing footprint. EDOO reports "products exported to more than 20 countries and regions covering Europe, Africa, North America, South America, the Middle East, Russia and Southeast Asia", so Africa is an established region for the business rather than a new one, and this visit deepens it.

EDOO was founded in Shenzhen, China in 2015. More background is on the About EDOO page.

The working day did not end at the conference table. Before leaving, the delegation and their EDOO hosts played pool at the office. The company reads its own name as a working motto: "Edoo stands for Easy to Do", simplifying business operations for the people who sell, ship and scan.

What happens next

The agreement reached on June 26 starts the interview-and-specification stage described above, which produces a written specification, an approximate timeline and a quotation for the customized PDA, cash register and printer models. News about the resulting configurations will be posted in Company News.

Buyers who want the same kind of conversation can use the contact page, write to chenzg@edoo-iot.com, or call +86-18050089566 on WhatsApp and WeChat.
